The grant is intended for SME entrepreneurs in Drenthe, Friesland, or Groningen participating in an R&D partnership. This partnership consists of two or more independent SMEs. Within the project, you will develop a new product, service, or process that is close to market. Objective: Innovation in SMEs in the Northern provinces

The main goal of MIT R&D is to stimulate innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises in the northern provinces.

For: Innovation projects of the knowledge and innovation agenda

The project must connect to thematic topics from the SNN knowledge and innovation agenda (KIA):

  • Energy & sustainability
  • Health & care
  • Agriculture, water and food
  • Safety
  • Key technologies
  • Social earning capacity

Provided after competitive tender

The MIT R&D application process is conducted through a competitive tender, with projects assessed based on their technical innovation, economic potential, and societal relevance.

The assessment is conducted by experts in innovation and technology. The program encourages projects with a clear project design and a realistic plan for market introduction. A perfect fit for Enablemi!

Depending on costs and expenses

The amount of funding that can be awarded within MIT R&D varies per project and depends on the costs and expenses incurred.

The available budget for MIT R&D is determined annually and may vary.

You can receive a subsidy of up to 35% of the costs for personnel, equipment and materials, among other things.

You can receive between €25,000 and €175,000 in subsidies per partner.
