Goal: Innovation with economic and social impact

The aim of the ERDF OPZuid subsidy is to stimulate innovation, economic growth, and employment in the regions of Zeeland, North Brabant, and Limburg. This is achieved by supporting projects that contribute to strengthening research, technological development, and innovation. The project must have a positive impact on SMEs.

For: projects within 2 openings

The ERDF OPZuid grant supports projects that are funded within one of two open funding opportunities for innovation projects that contribute to one or more societal transitions. These opportunities are:

  1. A smarter Europe
  • Transition: Climate, raw materials, agriculture and food, and health.
  • Objective: Innovation promotion
  1. A greener Europe
  • Transition: Energy
  • Objective 1: Innovation in renewable energy generation
  • Objective 2: Developing new energy systems

Subsidy ceiling per theme

The subsidy ceiling varies by theme. The subsidy amount per project is 50% of the eligible costs, 35% of which comes from the OPZuid scheme. In addition to the subsidy from the ERDF fund, a supplementary contribution from the province is also possible. This provincial co-financing amounts to 15%.
