Goal: find initiatives that accelerate the transition from care to health
From making healthy to staying healthy
The current healthcare system is unsustainable. We only intervene when something goes wrong. The need for healthcare workers and the associated costs are spiraling out of control. Therefore, it’s better to focus on staying healthy longer. Hi!Noord aims to strengthen this transition from ‘healthcare’ to ‘care for health’ in the Northern Netherlands.
4 strong partners
Hi!Noord has four driving forces: the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health, the Center of Expertise Healthy Aging (Hanze University of Applied Sciences), and the Healthy Aging Network Northern Netherlands (HANNN). In addition, there are numerous collaborative partners within the healthcare landscape in the Northern Netherlands.
Subsidy call issued
The consortium behind Hi!Noord wanted to gather additional ideas to make more funding available for projects that help accelerate the transition in healthcare in the Northern Netherlands.
This is what Enablemi did
Hi!Noord approached us to manage the call, given our experience and expertise in the healthcare sector and the associated subsidies and developments. We drafted the proposal, provided preliminary assessments for project applications, and advised consortia on the further development of their projects for phase 2 of the application.
Now on the other side
Normally, we’re on the other side of the table, helping with application submissions. For this call, we didn’t submit any applications ourselves, of course, but we were able to make a valuable contribution from the organizing side.

The Hi!Noord project contributes to these Sustainable Development Goals

The win-win impact of Hi!Noord
Thanks to Hi!Noord, healthcare providers, research institutes, and businesses in the region are better able to connect with each other. This way, they accelerate innovation in healthcare together.
Together, they contribute to a healthier future. This way, we keep healthcare affordable and adequately staffed. And, let’s not forget, this has a huge impact on the individual well-being of residents of the Northern Netherlands and beyond.
