The National Programme Groningen (NPG) supports companies and partnerships with projects that contribute to training, development and a strong, future-proof labour market in Groningen. The grant scheme is divided into two components: one for individual employers and one for partnerships. In this way, the NPG encourages organisations to invest in talent development, sustainable employability and cooperation within the region.
The Lifelong Learning Schemes
Two grant schemes are available within the National Programme Groningen. These schemes support organisations with training, development and strengthening the labour market.
- Employers investing in training and development: this grant helps employers invest in the growth and development of their employees. Employers can use this scheme to apply for funding for activities that encourage learning and development within their organisation. This allows employers to keep their employees sustainably employable in a changing labour market.
- Working together on development: this scheme supports partnerships between employers, educational institutions and other organisations in Groningen that want to invest in the development of people and talent. The aim is to better prepare employees and jobseekers for the labour market of the future.
What can the grant be used for?
The grant schemes provide opportunities for a wide range of initiatives focusing on training, development and strengthening the labour market. Organisations can apply for funding for activities including:
- Education and training courses;
- Work-based learning programmes;
- Retraining and further training for employees;
- Development and talent programmes;
- Innovative pilots and practical projects;
- Cooperation between employers and educational institutions;
- Regional collaborative initiatives;
- Activities focusing on sustainable employability.
