Applications can be submitted as long as budget remains available. Applications are assessed in the order in which they are received. The earlier you submit your application, the greater your chance of receiving funding.

The SME Feasibility Voucher allows you to investigate whether your innovative idea is technically and economically feasible. The subsidy supports:

  • conducting a feasibility study into a new product, service or process;
  • identifying technical risks and opportunities;
  • analysing the market and the business model;
  • engaging external expertise, such as a consultant or knowledge institution;
  • preparing for possible further development or an innovation project;
  • reducing risks before investing in further development or scaling up.

Important conditions

  • Only available to SMEs
  • Must focus on a feasibility study, not on implementing the project itself
  • The project must be innovative
  • Activities must take place within the specified subsidy period
  • Collaboration with a knowledge institution or external consultant is often required
  • The subsidy covers part of the costs, which means co-financing is required
  • The application must be submitted in full and with sufficient supporting information before the deadline

Subsidy for a feasibility study

The SME Feasibility Voucher allows you to investigate whether your idea has sufficient potential for further development. You will assess not only its technical functioning, but also its economic feasibility. Is there market potential? Are the costs realistic? Does the idea fit within a viable business model? This prevents you from investing too early in an innovation whose risks are not yet sufficiently clear.

Collaborating with a living lab

An important part of this scheme is collaboration with a living lab: a practice-oriented environment that provides knowledge, facilities and expertise. This may include test locations, equipment, technical expertise or specialist guidance in answering your feasibility questions. This allows you to test your idea with support from organisations that have practical experience with innovation.
