Objective: explore an international market
Innowwide supports innovative SMEs in investigating whether a product, process or service has potential in a new international market.
Within the project, you can investigate technical, commercial, legal and socio-economic conditions in the target country. This provides greater insight into the feasibility of international market entry or a future international R&D collaboration.
For: market validation with a local partner
The grant is intended for projects targeting markets in Africa, North and South America, Asia or Oceania. You collaborate with a local organisation, such as a customer, supplier, end user, research organisation or technology partner.
Activities may include research into market potential, local customer needs, competition, laws and regulations, and the technical applicability of your innovation. The innovation must have reached at least TRL 4.
Applications through Eureka
Innowwide is implemented by the Eureka Secretariat. The fifth call opens on 1 October 2026 and closes on 1 December 2026.
Each company may submit a maximum of one application. The project must be carried out with a local partner in the selected target country and may only relate to civil applications.

€60,000 grant per project
Successful Innowwide projects receive a fixed grant amount of €60,000. Minimum eligible project costs amount to €86,000, resulting in a maximum funding rate of approximately 70%.
A total budget of €4.2 million is available for the fifth Innowwide call. This allows 70 projects to receive funding.
